이 땅을 보았던 그날을,

지금도 선명하게 기억합니다.

호수 위에 떠 있는 작은 성처럼, 그곳은 삼면이 물과 맞닿아 있었고,

부드러운 곡선을 따라 걷는 산책길 사이로는

아름드리 나무들이 만든 초록의 터널이 이어져 있었습니다.

낮은 언덕은 자연스러운 경계를 이루고,

울타리는 마치 숲의 일부처럼,

나무를 잘라 세운 단순하고도 순한 모습이었습니다.

모든 것이 억지스럽지 않았습니다.

아무것도 덧붙이지 않아도 이미 완성되어 있는 풍경.

그저 바라보는 것만으로 마음이 정돈되는 곳이었습니다.

그 풍경을 마주한 순간,

가슴 깊은 곳에서 뜨겁게 올라오는 감정이 있었습니다.

“이것이야.”

”숨도 쉬지 않고 외쳤습니다.

“바로 여깁니다.”

여기라면,

다음 날, 나는 우크라이나 키이우로 출장을 떠나야 했습니다.

직접 현장을 지킬 수는 없었지만,

오랜 시간 함께한 직원에게 단호히 말했습니다.

“무조건 낙찰받아.

지금까지 제시된 것 중 가장 높은 금액으로.”

그 말 그대로,

그 땅은 우리의 품에 안겼고,

꿈꾸던 첫 장이 조용히 열리기 시작했습니다.

하지만 사실,

건축의 마음

The first time

I saw this land, I still remember it clearly.

Like a small castle floating on the lake,

the site touched water on three sides.

Along a walking path that followed gentle curves,

a tunnel of green unfolded

formed by tall, fully grown trees.

A low hill created a natural boundary.

The fence felt like part of the forest itself,

made simply from cut wood,

quiet and kind in its presence.

Nothing felt forced.

Nothing needed to be added.

The landscape already felt complete.

Just looking at it

was enough to bring the mind into order.

In that moment,

a feeling rose deep inside my chest.

“This is it.”

I remember saying it

without even stopping to breathe.

“This is the place.”

Here,

I felt I could invite

the most precious person in my life

without a trace of hesitation or embarrassment.

Without a single moment of doubt,

I decided.

We will buy this place.

I had to leave for a business trip to Kyiv, Ukraine.

I couldn’t stay on site myself,

but I spoke firmly

to a colleague I had worked with for many years.

Just as I said,

the land came into our hands,

of a long-held dream began to open.

But in truth,

this was not simply a real estate transaction.

to build a physical space.

finally began to be written.
